RICCIO is a new solution. Unexpected, inspired and transfigured. RICCIO is definitely a hedgehog. The spines turn into supports for books, tablets and anything else. You can count 300 sticks made out of solid wood, driven into the upright panelling with dichromatic sense.
In the middle RICCIO gave the spines up and a broad background opens out to the positioning of electronics and other devices which could be put on the shelf (video game console, TVs, home theatre system).
By weaving a net of close sticks RICCIO definitely dresses up the the wall with its fascinating wood grain.
RICCIO is made out of oak veneered vertical units. The solution is modular and expandable. The sticks are made of solid oak wood. They have been put into the units’ holes using some glue and following an interaxial scheme of 10 x 10 cm.
Oak veneer onto the shelf board as well.
The whole panelling must stand on the ground and be anchored to the wall. It is possible to arrange any connection of wires, perimeter light strips and built in sound systems.
